Cross Border Health at the European Parliament
Last month we addressed the subject of Cross Border Health at the European Parliament; the second of five key topics included in YCE’s white paper. Despite being a hugely ambitious project with a directive that has been in place for over a decade, the implementation of Cross Border Health (the right for EU citizens to access free healthcare in any EU Member State, including access to treatment for diseases such as cancer) sees patients facing huge bureaucratic obstacles. 4 out of 5 EU patients are not even aware of its existence, and that needs to change NOW
