Cross-border healthcare issues in Europe - Ania & Magda (Youth Cancer Europe)
In the third instalment of our Patient On Patient interviews, Ania and Magda, both hailing from Poland, talk about the existing issues surrounding cross-border healthcare in Europe and how this affects young cancer patients around the continent. Ania herself was diagnosed as a child in 1990, and shares her own experience as well as that of other families who have had to jump through hoops and administrative hold-ups in order to receive the necessary life-saving treatment in a country other than their own. Cross-border healthcare is one of the key issues we recently addressed in the launch of our white paper at the European Parliament. You can find out more about this in our website.
