YCE visits 5 European hospitals to learn more about Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Care (AYA)

Between May and July 2023, Youth Cancer Europe conducted Peer Visits by 30 young people from 16 countries ?ﾸﾏ with lived experience of cancer, visiting a total of 5 hospitals ? in Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands, as leaders of Work Package 4 on Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Care (AYA oncology) within the European Commission co-funded European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors project. ✅ The ripple effect of Peer Visits has been already truly remarkable— gathering essential data, raising awareness about AYA initiatives, and building an extensive international network of patient advocates. ?ﾟﾏﾼ?ﾟﾏﾾ Every step we've taken so far will play a crucial role in shaping the position paper and policy recommendations, reinforcing the efforts of EU-CAYAS-NET to improve the quality of life of AYA cancer survivors within the European Union and beyond ⚡. ?ﾸﾏ Read more about the Peer Visits we conducted by clicking the following link: https://www.youthcancereurope.org/yce...
